So...I definitely peed on my bathroom floor.
It's true. I did. I peed on my bathroom floor last night. So, here is the story. I still cant quite figure out how it happened, but it definitely happened and I have no one else to blame for it. So I sit down to go to the bathroom (the toilets in the new house are quite small, and my voluptuous butt does not fit all that well). I'm peeing. Everything is going fine. I take care of business, I get up and I pull my pants up. (this is all as we are getting ready to leave for our anniversary dinner) I notice that my pants are wet. I cannot figure this out. So, I stand up and look down at the light pink tile floor (yea, its pink. I'm learning to embrace it.) and I see a huge puddle of pee on the floor. I immediately assume that one of the dogs has peed on the floor and I'm so mad because I am going to have to change now, and we are running late for our reservations. Then, I realize that the doors have been shut and the dogs have not been able to get into the bathroom. The only explanation is that I peed on my own bathroom floor. How did this happen? I have no idea. I still cannot explain how I managed to do something like that. Some got in the toilet (I looked) and some did not. I have never in my entire life peed on my floor before. John and I had a good laugh over it as I was down on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor, but I can tell you that that killed any romance that was going to happen that night. Oh well. OH! and then last night when we got home, I sat down to pee again (in the toilet this time). I sat there for a few minutes, taking my time, paying the bills and such. I finish. I stand up. I look to my left and realize that the bedroom window blinds have been completely open the entire time and there are neighbors walking down the street. Its dark outside. My bathroom light is on. So, on top of peeing on my floor last night, I also let my neighbors watch me sit on the toilet while I paid my bills. Good times.

Happy Three Year Anniversary Pooperface!!!

So, today is our three year anniversary.

It was a fabulous day and I wish I could go back to it.
This, without a doubt, has been the best three years of my life.
I cant believe that its been three years!
I feel like its been maybe one and a half. I guess time flies when you re having fun!
Really though, I couldn't have asked for a better husband. He is amazing. He is so sweet and loves me way more than I deserve. I'm so blessed that God chose to give him to me and I will try to love him the way God wants me to for the rest of our lives.
I always look up at the top of my blog and see the words to the song that we sing at the village. No matter what I am blogging about, I feel like this song always makes sense to whatever I am thinking about.
Right now, celebrating our three years of marriage, I cannot begin to describe the grace that God has given both of us.
We serve an amazing God, and I pray that we will serve Him first in our marriage. That's the only way we will have many more years of wedded bliss.
If we start to focus on each other instead of praising God for the amazing grace that He has given us, we will lose focus and end up like the majority of married couples.
Thank you God for the grace that you gave John and me three years ago today, and thank you for the grace that you continue to shower upon us each day!

"Hi Pot. My name is Kettle, and Im black."
So. I'm ridiculous. I talk about money all the time and how much I don't like it, but I guess I'm honest and admit that I am a slave to it, but still I talk and talk about how much I want to get away from it. I feel like a big hypocrite. We bought this house and I feel like all we are doing is spending money on it. We bought two big TVs and I have bought all kinds of stuff for our bathrooms. We bought new furniture. I bought new rugs. Its just kind of ridiculous. I'm mad at myself. I basically feel like the pot calling the kettle black. I just feel like I have this huge desire to leave all of this stuff behind, and at the same time that I am feeling this, I am going out and buying more stuff. Its like the Dallas life has a huge grip on me, and I love it and hate it at the same time. SO ANNOYING!!! That's all. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am the pot calling the kettle black.

NO MORE PAINT!!!!!
Oh my gosh. I am sooo tired of painting. I almost dont like my house anymore because I have felt so trapped inside of it for the last 4 days. I spent all day Friday there by myself painting the dining and living room. Then on Saturday my parents and John's parents came and helped us paint all day Saturday. On Sunday we were there from 3:30-8:30 only to go home and pack up some of our apartment..I did organize my closet, which made me very happy. Im just tired of all of it and I get to go over tonight and put in cabinet paper in all of the kitchen cabinets! WHOO HOO!! (sarcasm) Im exhausted! I want to curl up in a ball and go to sleep!...Im excited too. Im ready to be in the house, but I must remember to set off the bug bombs before I live there:) Lots of mosquitos!
Anyway, I will post pictures once I find my camera stuff that I packed a week ago. Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Lyrics
Have yall heard the song Hosanna by Hilsong? If you havent, I encourage you to download it. It is amazing! We sing it at church a lot and I am always amazed at how emotional I get when I sing these lyrics. I have two favorite parts in the song. My first favorite is, "I see a generation, rising up to take their place, with selfless faith." I want to be a part of that generation. But how do I become a part of that generation? The other lyrics in the song that I love are "Break my heart for what Breaks yours. Everything I am for your kingdom's cause." Wow. I want that. I want my heart to break for what His breaks for. I guess in order to be part of the generation rising up to take our place, our hearts must break for what breaks his. Im frustrated about all of this. Being in Dallas, I feel like its all about us. Even those of us that go to church, I feel like we have made it acceptable to do things for ourselves and make sure we are comfy (house, nice apartment, nice car, crappy car, makeup, good food, etc) but if we really believe that we have been given the gift of eternal life, why arent we out there telling everyone about it?!?!?! I am really struggling with this right now because we are closing on our house tomorrow. Everyone keeps asking me if I am excited and I am, but at the same time, I am wondering how long this will tie us down. I dont want to be here forever. I want to "declare His glory among the nations" (Ps 96:3) I dont want John to work at a desk job for the rest of his life. I want us to go out and tell people in remote jungles about God! I want to lay down my life in order to serve others. I know that I can do things while I am here to serve others, but at the end of the day, I will be holding on to that comfy house and nice car. I will be holding on to my comfortable life. I want to give it all away for Him. I just feel this desire to do these things, and I know they are coming from Him, so I want to get off my butt and do it, but how do I do it, when we are buying a house tomorrow?!!...bittersweet. Thanks for reading my stream of consciousness!

"How Can I, Unless Someone Explains It To Me?"
I read Acts chapter 8 on Saturday and was blown away by the section that talks about Phillip talking to an Ethiopian. This is how it goes, "29The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." 30Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.
31"How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture:
"He was led like a sheep to the slaughter,
and as a lamb before the shearer is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
33In his humiliation he was deprived of justice.
Who can speak of his descendants?
For his life was taken from the earth."[e]
34The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" 35Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"[f] 38And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.
Wow. So to me this scripture screams out, "Go and tell the world about me because they cant understand unless someone explains it to them!!!" I want to do that! I feel so conflicted lately about all of this. We have a great life here in Dallas, but I feel like it is sedentary. I want to go out to tell the world about Jesus! I want to go to a remote village and share the gospel for the first time! I want to trust that God will protect me when I go to these villages and I want to believe that if He doesn't protect me, that He will some way be glorified in my death! At the same time, I want to stay here and enjoy my plush life. I want to go shopping and watch TV and go to the movies and eat out at dinner. I want to live in my air conditioned home and have clean running water. I want the white picket fence and the two perfect little children, but how will they understand unless someone explains it to them?

My iphone was Stolen!
So, as some of you (Erin) may know, my iphone was stolen. I got it for Christmas this year and it was stolen on March 30, 2009 :). It was stolen up at work, and I am pretty sure I know which client stole it, but they wont admit it. Oh well. So here is the thing. I LOVED this phone. It had facebook, email, Internet, and phone all in one, but my favorite application was the online Bible! It was AWESOME! I was using it so much that I dont know where my actual Bible is anymore. (I dont want that to sound like I read all the time. I just mean that when I was reading my Bible I was using this iphone to do it...dont want to sound prideful) It was great because it wasnt heavy and I could just click on a button to highlight the verse that I wanted to. I could lay in bed at night and not have to hold up some big ol' Bible and then sit up when I wanted to highlight. So my point in telling yall this is to ask if anyone knows where I can get a pocket Bible kind of thing..You know, like a calculator, but its a Bible. Do these exist? Im sure they do. OK, so if you have an iphone you have to get this Bible application! I highly recommend it!
