So, about a month ago my wonderful grandma gave me a card that gets you a free tall coffee at Starbucks every Wednesday until May 28th. Starbucks has a new roast and I guess is trying to get everyone addicted to it. So when she gave me this card I was quite excited about it. Free coffee! YUM! I thought, "I'll just go in, show my card with a smile and get my free coffee." Well, I go in I show my card, and I smile, but they do not smile back. The first time I went to get my free coffee, I promise the lady glared at me. I felt like I was doing something wrong asking for my free coffee. Every time since then, I have not been given a smile or a happy head nod. No, no, no. I get a grunt or no emotions at all. It just makes me a little mad, that's all. Why give out the card if you are not going to be nice to the people that bring it in. Maybe its just the Starbucks I go to (Caruth Haven and Greenville), but if it is every Starbucks that this is happening, I think that they need to shut down all of the Starbucks again and have a "come to Jesus talk" about the way they treat their non paying customers. Because, the thing is, I now am addicted to this roast, and go every day besides Wednesday and pay for my coffee. They won! I am now a the mercy of the Pike Place Roast.
