
So, like I was saying, I cannot imagine what it would be like to not shop for an entire year, and I honestly don't think I could do it. I kept thinking of all the reasons I might need to buy something. "What if I lose weight? I will need some different clothes." That was my first and only good thought I could come up with. So, I decided that instead of not shopping for an entire year....starting today, I will not buy myself one article of clothing until I lose 20 lbs. Once I lose 20 lbs, I will buy myself $100 worth of clothes (not all at one time. Just $100 total and no more than that) and then will not allow myself to buy anything else until I have lost another 10 lbs. My current weight is...well its not important because there is no way in the world I'm going to tell you anyway. Y'all will just have to trust me. I think I need a before picture....

I figure either way this is going to be good for my body or my wallet. Its a win/win. More to come on how in the heck I am going to lose this 30 lbs...
(blogger is still allowed to purchase shoes, scarves, jewelry, swim suits, purses, and sunglasses. These are exceptions to the new rules...JK:) )

I wish we lived closer, I would make you be my work out buddy. I need to get motivated too. Good luck! (and if you get desperate for something new to wear, you're welcome to come by and borrow something!)

Your amendment is funny - I had something similar, in that I could use gift cards from other people to buy clothes (birthday gifts). I also spent a very small amount on accessories... sorta like a Nicorette patch ;-) But I was still extra careful with the spending even then. Borrowing clothes and accessories from friends was/is a HUGE help as well.

I'm so glad you are back to blogging! I have been so bad about it this year.
It's looking like I'll be in Dallas by mid-May at the latest and I could definitely use a workout partner. I'll probably be doing more low impact due to being prego but sometimes it helps just knowing someone else is working out at the same time and place as you are, even if you do a different workout!
