Book Review

Ok, I discovered something last night that really really bugs me. Have y'all ever read a book that just sucks, but it is decent enough that you have to find out what happens in the end? I finished that book last night. The entire time I was reading this book, I thought to myself, "I'm sure she will explain more as she goes." or "There is no way it will actually work out like this. Something will happen in the end to make all of this make sense." I kept coming up with excuses for the way she was writing. It was Christian Fiction. Normally, I like Christian fiction. Yes, there are crappy writers, but there are a few good writers too. Those are the books I constantly read. Every now and then though, I stray. I decide to try out a new author, and every now and then, I am very disappointed. To sum up this book. A girl's husband died, and she met and fell in love with a Dr. but she also fell in love with the Dr's brother without knowing it...now of course, in the end...it all worked out...of course. she married the Dr. and the brother of the Dr. married her arch enemy and they had a double wedding...I'm not even kidding. I was so pissed off by the end of the book, I vowed never to read another one of her books again. It was such a dramatic soap opera all the while trying to talk about God. All I could think about was how bad God was up in heaven rolling His eyes. So, a book review: Do not read this book!

WOW. You must have really hated this book to blog about it. ;-) I will definitely avoid it - thanks for the warning.

I also have a bad habit of finishing novels I hate. If I've gotten more than 2-3 chapters in, I will most likely truck through it. Even it if is a 500+ page sci-fi adventure that I don't care a hoot about... Yes, I did this. And I didn't find out until the end that it was a trilogy. How unsatisfying. Will not be finishing the other two books.
